Presented by: Sutherland Music Club
Come and enjoy everything from opera and pop, to hymns and numbers from musicals, and classical soprano arias! The Men’s Shed Chorale is a group of senior men who love to produce great choral music. The choir was formed in 2012 by a couple of men who had been singing together for many years and decided that they wanted to form a choir to sing in a relaxed way. Their aim is to produce the highest quality music, whilst encouraging a highly social atmosphere. At first, a few singers sang around a piano at one of the men’s homes. From those days, the group has now developed into a choir which has performed over 150 concerts all over the Sydney area. The choir, led by its talented young conductor and accompanist, will present a wide variety of wonderful music. Natalia Melnik sings in numerous recitals throughout the year, specializing in coloratura arias as well as Russian music. She has also performed as a choir soloist in numerous concerts in Russia and Europe. Natalia is currently teaching at the Sydney Conservatorium Open Academy and conducting doctorate research at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. She works with students of all ages, including with children with autism.
